FP: Harrison Ford Tribute Video
In 1998, I was taking a video editing class at the Academy of Art College in San Francisco, CA. My professor was a graduate from a film school called... USC. Our final project had to be a 5 minute tribute to a person, place or event. I chose Harrison Ford because he had grown up on film at the same time that I had grown up in life. So I bought 15-20 videos with him in them and ordered 1 hard to find documentary about him online. Then I proceeded to show him in contrasting roles and recut scenes of speaches from Harrison Ford, George Lucas and Steven Speilburg from the documentary into the tribute. At the beginning of the assignment, we were told that past students had pulled off "flawless editing" where everything happens to the beat of the music. So we all thought, "Yeah, Right! Like we'll ever do that." We were pretty vocal with that in class too. When my final project was shown to the class, my professor thought it had been edited flawlessly and was very professional! A+! Home run! Yeah, baby! Score!

I might also add that the cuts come at a very fast intervals, which makes it quite interesting to watch.

Sorry, but since all of the footage is copyrighted by a number of corporations, all I can show you is a list of the movies that I purchased for the film. However, in the assignment it was stated very clearly that all edits had to be original. The reason was so that we could be graded on our editing ability. So in that case, I only own the copyright on all of the editing and only the editing. Since it was for a school project, I don't think any company is going to care about copyright infringement. Sorry, it's not for sale.

The video is displayed, on occassion, to my friends and only in person.

Here is the list of films that I used: American Graffiti
Star Wars: A New Hope
Force 10 From Navarone
Apocalypse Now
Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back
Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark
Star Wars: Return of the Jedi
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
The Hunt For Red October
Patriot Games
Clear and Present Danger
Witness
Presumed Innocent
The devil's own
Air Force One
The Fugitive
Six Days, Seven Nights

I have more somewhere, including the documentary, but they are in a box somewhere. I moved last September. When I find them, I'll post them here.
