Rush Street Flyer (1996) The "Rush Street Flyer" was a picture that was taken for a color photography class. The Rush Street Flyer is an actual ride at Six Flags -- St. Louis, where I worked at the time.
RSF Neutron Bomb /
Ghost Train
(1996)
The "RSF Neutron Bomb" (-What's RSF?-) is a digitally altered picture and was a project for an advanced digital imaging. Someone said it looked like a "Neutron Bomb" and the name stuck. I tend to refer to it also as the "Ghost Train".
Batman The Ride (1996) The images on the "Batman The Ride" page are also from Six Flags. They were generous enough to let me take the photos since I was a park employee.
Folk Festival Poster (1996) The "Folk Festival Poster" is a poster for a ficticious event on a ficticious date and time. The poster was actually created on Nov. 28, 1996, which would be the date of the 1st Annual Autumn Folk Festival... if one such event were to occur. Try this. Place your finger on the screen over the 7 in 1997 to see the actual date. Yes, that was intentionally designed that way as an -Easter egg-. The guitar was my dad's old accoustic guitar, now youngest brother Steve's, and was placed on my parent's back deck at sunset. The musical staves were created using a toothpaste routine in Photoshop that we learned about in class. It simulates a 3 dimentional (3D) look. Surprisingly enough, after years of teaching this routine in class, my professor, John Nagel, had never seen anyone use it in a project until now.
Glowing Guitar (1996) The "Glowing Guitar" is a digitally altered picture that was taken from the real guitar photo in the "Folk Festival Poster". Again, it was for an advanced digital imaging class project.
Ceramic Teapot Peacock (1996) The "Ceramic Teapot Peacock" was an experiment in our advanced digital imaging class. Using only a select set of images, about food, we had to create something new. The images I used here were a ceramic teapot, along with red and green grapes.
